Rosewood And Poplar Bench

This beautiful bench has been refinished, and the combination of the Chinese poplar blends harmoniously with the rosewood top.  Classically built with picture frame molded top, waist below the top, and the  legs connected by a humpback stretcher.  Note also the cuffed feet, and subtle beading on the legs and around the waist.  Constructed in the 1st quarter of the 20th century, this bench originated in Ningbo province.
