Cabinets & Chests
Chests and cabinets basically offer storage in the same way as a buffet. One of the more frequently found chests is the "Mongolian" type with a pair of doors below and two drawers above. These chests are often paint decorated, and it is hard to find a matching pair. They are often used as bed side tables, as they are about the right height to support a bed side lamp while still providing great storage. These chests can also be used flanking a sofa in a living room. Their small size enables their utility in a wide variety of settings.
