First Chest With Two Drawers

This elm and cypress chest is beautifully made.  It has a picture frame molded top and doors and has just great proportions.  It is a little over a 100 years old, and has had age appropriate repairs such as new hardware, interior drawers and the interior shelf has been replaced.  It has also been beautifully refinished.  This simple country chest with its great construction originated in Hebei province.
