Second Low Chest

This elm chest is a very Chinese form with its elongated top over doors.  Beautifully refinished, with wonderful grain in the doors, it  originated in either Hebei or Shandong province in the first quarter of the 20th century.  It is very well made with traditional picture frame molded top, replaced hardware and interior shelf.
