Set Of 4 Ladies Chairs

This is an assembled set of beautifully refinished rosewood and poplar chairs has  bone inlay on the backs.  They are such a close match that only upon very close inspection will one discover very small differences.  Originating in Zhejiang province over 100 years ago, these chairs are surprisingly heavy to lift.  The rattan on the chair seats is replaced.  Note please some of the architectural details.  The humpback crest rail and the humpbacked top stretcher create a sense of "lift"to he chairs, the seat is picture frame molded above a waist connecting the seat with the legs.  The legs are connected by stretchers, the front stretcher obviously doing double duty as a foot rest. The heigh of the seat is 19.25".
