Pair of Carved Windows #1

The center section of each panel is carved with ruyi heads and clouds. The ruyi is a wish granting symbol and clouds symbolize heavenly blessing. The upper sections have different designs, but are carved in such a way that it takes some study to notice. Each depicts a different flower or blossom. The one panel suggests a buddha's hand flower: the other perhaps a pine. The flower motif is continued in the border surrounding the center panel.
