Scholar's Sign #2
Suppose you want to congratulate someone who gave his all trying but didn't achieve the desired result. What can you say? How do you compliment his effort without seeming to be consoling. You could say, "A Great Attitude Radiates Good Will." That is what this sign says. Picture a guy who studdied hard, but just didn't have what it took to be an "A" student in the Imperial Exams. "Well, it didn't turn out as we all hoped, but you've got a great attitude about it. That attitude of yours is doing a lot to help you 'Win Friends and Influence People.' Great job there buddy." c. 1890.
