First Low Chest

This little chest is what I call a "tuck in" piece of furniture, because it can go just about anywhere in a house and provide really handy storage.  Made of poplar in Hebei province probably within the first quarter of the 20th century, this little chest has had age appropriate repairs.  Be sure to notice the picture frame molded top and doors.  Typical Chinese construction.
