Pair of carved windows with center section framed in an elongated octagon. The number eight is a lucky number in China. The carving within the octagon is of intricate foliate design. Each of the four corners of the octagon is comprised of two ruyi heads suggesting both the lucky number eight and the wish granting ability of the ruyi itself. The top section does not compete with the center octagon for attention; rather it compliments the overall floral design.
