This table typifies simplicity coupled with elegance. Note the beautifully figured top, above a molded waist. The apron has beautiful line carving which connects with the legs, and the humpback stretcher is attached to the apron by carved struts. The feet end in the horseshoe foot design so typically found in much Chinese furniture. Obviously refinished, one or more of the struts may well be replaced. No harm done. If you were as old as this table, I bet you'd have replaced parts as well. Late 19th century.
