This little Kang table is made of elm in Shandong Province in the first quarter of the 20th century. I like the two drawers and the scalloped apron. A kang is a raised heated platform in Chinese houses that is the warmest place in the house, and is used for family eating and sleeping during cold weather. It has original paint, but the paint has also been touched up and the whole table has been over-coated
